At the Loyalty Foundation, we believe that when young people are given the right tools and encouragement, their creativity and capability exceed every expectation. During the launch of our Introduction to Vibe Coding course, we were genuinely blown away by how quickly students grasped core concepts—and by the impressive websites they built in the very first class.

Among the early standouts: a classroom supply dispenser site designed with real-world utility in mind, and the wildly imaginative HybridMart, an online marketplace for “genetically engineered extinct hybrids” like the Mammoth-Saber and Mega-Bear Sloth. Their enthusiasm set the tone for an extraordinary learning experience.

About the Course

Introduction to Vibe Coding equips high school students with practical, future-ready skills in web and app development using professional tools and AI-assisted workflows. Designed for motivated young creators—entrepreneurs, artists, community builders—the course turns curiosity into capability and gives students the confidence to design, build, and publish their own digital projects.

Students learn industry-standard technologies such as Next.js, GitHub, and Vercel while developing essential skills in creative problem-solving, ethical AI use, and digital ownership. Every participant graduates with a portfolio of live web apps, a professional GitHub profile, and the foundational skills to pursue further study or early technical roles.

Course Snapshot: From Idea to App

  • Module 1: From Zero to Deployed – Build and publish a simple personal website in minutes; set up a professional developer environment; deploy a live web app.

  • Module 2: Building with Your AI Co-Pilot – Use AI to customize and improve code, run a local AI model, and create an interactive p5.js game.

  • Module 3: Capstone – Your App, Your Vision – Plan, build, and present a unique multi-feature application during Demo Day.

The students’ rapid progress—and their inventive early creations—remind us why this work matters. With the right support, young people don’t just learn technology; they use it to imagine bold new possibilities.

We’re excited to continue expanding Vibe Coding across our partner organizations, and we invite donors and partners to join us in helping more students discover what they are capable of building.
