In 2022, The Loyalty Foundation launched Newark City Schools' first-ever high school Esports (Electronic Sports) league in conjunction with Newark School of Data Science and Information Technology. We are in the process of setting up an Esports league for the Police Athletic League of New York and plan to bring Esports to partner organizations in cities across the U.S.

Regarding the school’s program, Principal Dr. Liana Summey said, “Our kids are not just playing games; they’re actually learning. We are providing opportunities and connections to keep our students grounded and engaged, which is why our attendance is the best in the district right now.”

Because we have the capability to provide computers, equipment, set-up, and an  IT person, participating organizations also gain a working computer lab where students can partake in our Gaming4Good, AI (Artificial Intelligence) & Art, and other programs.

As we have seen in Newark, the Esports programs are not just for Esports players, but also provide skill-learning opportunities for the  team managers, game commentators, and audio / visual team, as well as a joyful environment for community building and new friendships.

Additional community facilities with current and developing Esports programs include The Gateway Family YMCA in Elizabeth, NJ, the Grand Street Settlement in Lower Manhattan, and the  Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Flint, Muskegon Lakeshore, and Southwest Michigan.

Please check our News page for esports programs and success stories.
