About the Program

In Fall 2023, the Loyalty Foundation partnered with the Newark Board of Education to launch the first-ever Newark Public Schools esports program at the Newark School of Data Science and Information Technology. Building on its success, the program expanded to include East Side High School and Technology High School—now the three teams competing in the Super Cup.

Prior to Newark Public Schools, the Loyalty Foundation established an esports program at The Gateway Family YMCA in Elizabeth, NJ and is currently setting up esports programs in Michigan at The Boys & Girls Clubs in Flint and Benton Harbor.

Esports is more than gaming—it boosts attendance, engagement, and confidence while introducing students to STEM and tech career pathways. With over 500 million global fans, it’s a powerful platform for learning and connection.
