50 Detroit Kids Get Chromebooks at American Indian Health & Family Services (AIHFS)

Updated: Jan 22

A few photos here from our summer/early fall distribution of 50 free Chromebooks to K-12 students through one of our newest parters, American Indian Health & Family Services (AIHFS) in Detroit.

The 50 Chromebooks were provided thanks to a generous grant from the Glenn. W. Bailey and given to students as part of the AIHFS Dream Seekers back-to-school backpack program.

AIHFS Director of Community Wellness Salli Renee Wabsis told us, "I have heard from parents and it seems there is a challenge getting laptops for them in our school district, so for them to have their own laptops has removed some barriers for children. Thank you!"

Many thanks to Salli and AIHFS Development Director Kimberly Copeland for making this happen!
